Jonathan Johnson, MD, MBA, CWSP, FAPWCA, is the visionary founder and surgical director of Comprehensive Wound Care Services, headquartered in Washington, DC. Widely recognized as "Dr. Wounds," he holds board certification from the American Board of Wound Management and is honored as a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Johnson's illustrious journey includes specialized training in general surgery, with a distinguished fellowship as the Sylvester J. Carter Hand and Plastic Surgery Fellow at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Hospital Center of Cornell University. His academic pursuits further extend to the business realm, earning a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Finance from The Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. A member of the esteemed American College of Healthcare Executives, Dr. Johnson also serves as a physician board member for both The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) and the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA). His commitment to advancing healthcare knowledge is evident through numerous publications and research projects, where his focus lies in the domain of wound care and reducing health disparities among underserved populations via virtual and telemedicine services. Beyond his medical expertise, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to community engagement and philanthropy. He proudly holds a board position at the Capital Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP), a non-profit organization dedicated to fatherhood development and education. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Johnson-Jones Family Foundation.
